Groove Glove

At Treadfirst, we’re constantly on the lookout for new technology and equipment to make our customers’ lives as convenient as possible. That’s why we’re proud to introduce the Groove Glove as part of our comprehensive tyre services. With the Groove Glove in hand, it takes our technicians less than a minute to provide you with an accurate measurement of the tread condition and wheel alignment for each of your tyres.

How Groove Glove works

Groove Glove is a wireless, cloud-based system which scans each of your tyres and analyses their conditions on the spot. For tread wear and alignment diagnosis, you won’t find anything more straightforward and intuitive than Groove Glove. Here’s how we use the Groove Glove on your vehicle:

  1. First we take a photo of your license plate with Groove Glove’s built-in camera to identify your vehicle.
  2. Next we scan the tyres one by one. We place the Groove Glove flat against the tyre, then move it from one side to the other to scan the tyre’s profile tyre. Once scanned, the Groove Glove will display the results for that tyre. Then we move onto the next one. Doing this four times takes less than one minute.
  3. Once all tyres have been scanned, we upload and print the results. This easy-to-understand report displays the results of each scan, with visual representations and statistics regarding the tread depth, wear and wheel alignment of each tyre. From this, both you and your engineer will know if there are any issues with your tyres.

Whats Next?

Once the Groove Glove has diagnosed your tyres, it’ll be clear whether or not you require any repairs, replacements or alignment work carrying out.

The Groove Glove never wastes your time, so if no alignment issues crop up, and your tyres are in good condition, then you’re good to go. If something does need further investigation after the report, then we can move on to that immediately. With Groove Glove, we make it easier than ever to keep your tyres safe.

If you’d like to learn more about the Groove Glove or any of our tyre fitting or wheel alignment services, contact Treadfirst today. Our team is always happy to help.

“I wish i could give more stars! They were absolutely brilliant. I was so upset after having gone to ATS with a flat tyre. ( only because it was near) I was in a hire van that was loaded with furniture. ATS were rude, not helpful and thought it funny. I was directed to Treadfirst in Saffron Walden and I’m so glad I was. At no point did they try and up sell. I told them I had a spare tyre as I’d probably ruined the one I had on and they said not to worry they would see what they could do after I explained I was driving back up North. They managed to repair it, and I was shocked how cheap it was; I was expecting it to cost much more. Thank you so much for the friendly, fast service. Lifesavers! Highly recommended Liz ” Elizabeth Curwen
